Break Room

Alright, so I want to first and foremost say if you haven't read our original review of Break Room, you should read that first here.  Ok, once you are caught up, read on.

We didn't exactly care for this bar the first time, but we did say that it might have been because of the pool league.  That being said, we had a just fine time the second time around.  We walked into to a mostly empty bar the night before Thanksgiving.  Again, bartender ID'd us before we had a chance to think.  Strangely the cute girls at the bar did not appear to be over 21, but thats neither here nor there.  A couple regulars, an attentive bartender, and lots of room to spread out and play a game of pool made for an enjoyable second visit to this little hole in the wall.  It is definitely a dive, but when you aren't crashing pool league night and not playing pool, its darn near tolerable.  The bartender did give great service, leaving the bar and coming to us to get us another pitcher before we had a chance to come to him.  I dig that. The bathrooms are small, run down, and dirty...and the place just has an overall run down feel, but it just goes to show that the right attitude from the bartender and a good vibe from the people hanging out can make any place seem just fine.  There is very little decor in the bar short of a few TV and the pool table...mostly just standard beer posters advertising the specials, and posters advertising pool leagues. We did note that for a "pool themed" bar there was only two tables, but we do realize that it is a place with limited space. Also, pool was ONLY a buck. We've noticed the cost of a game of pool going up around town. These guys have it at a buck, which means you don't have to break (no pun intended) your second dollar for just one game!

Pros: Cheap beer, not crowded (if not on pool league night), good service (both times), generally accepting regulars

Cons: Little available parking, crappy bathrooms.
